GEALC has received a number of awards recognising our Centre’s commitment to adult learning and the exceptional contribution we have made to our students and the wider community.
Student of Term Award
GEALC proactively recognises and celebrates its students’ achievements. The Student of the Term Award is awarded to the student who has demonstrated hard work and commitment to learning.
Adele McNair Award
The Adele McNair Award is awarded annually at GEALC’s End of Year Certificate Ceremony (held in December) to the student who has improved the most in their reading & writing skills.
Ann Manning Scholarship Award
The Ann Manning Scholarship Award is awarded annually to the student who not only demonstrates outstanding achievement and participation, but also financial hardship that impacts on their ability to study.
GEALC Volunteer Recognition
GEALC is fortunate to receive invaluable support from its volunteers and during National Volunteer Week, we acknowledge the significant contribution that volunteers make to our Centre.
The Ann Maddern Volunteer of the Year
The Ann Maddern Volunteer of the Award is awarded annually at GEALC’s Biggest Morning Tea and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony (held in May) to recognise the significant contribution a volunteer has made in that year.
GEALC Life Members' Award
This new Life Members’ Award is an honour bestowed on individual GEALC members to recognise their outstanding service and contribution to GEALC over a significant period of time.
