The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) provides free English language tuition to eligible migrants to help learn foundation English language and settlement skills to enable confident participation in Australian Society.

How to Register for FREE English Language Tuition
You can register for free English language tuition either in person (at GEALC, 169A McKinnon Road, McKinnon) or by completing the Registration Form below.
ALL students registering for free English language tuition, will need to attend an Assessment Interview.
The Assessment Interview will take approximately two hours. You will be assessed on your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The interviewer will select an appropriate course level and will confirm your study timetable.
Students undertaking the AMEP will study one of the following accredited EAL Framework Courses:
* Course in EAL (22637VIC) * Certificate I in EAL (22638VIC) * Certificate II in EAL (22639VIC) * Certificate III in EAL (22640VIC).
What to bring to the interview? You will need to bring your passport, visa details, any concession cards and your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number if you have one. You are welcome to bring someone with you if you need help with translating.
Please note: If you bring children to the interview, their safety and care are your responsibility.
