This course requires an Assessment Interview before you can enrol. At the interview you will be informed about the course times, dates and fees.

Places are available for resident and non-resident students and some students may be eligible for the Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP) FREE English Classes.

Description

This program aims to improve the students’ ability to be understood by others and covers how to interact with people during everyday activities.

 

Refund Policy

A full refund will be given if the student cancels 5 working days prior to the course commencement date.  Otherwise an administration fee of 10% of the cost of course will be deducted.

No refund will be given once a course has commenced, unless the student can provide evidence (medical reasons, personal problems, personal loss).  In this case a refund will be calculated on a pro rata basis.

If a course is cancelled by GEALC, a full refund will be given.

Interview

The Assessment Interview will take approximately one to two hours.  You will be assessed on your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.  The interviewer will select an appropriate course level and will confirm your study timetable.

What to bring?  You will need to bring your passport, any concession cards and your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number if you have one.

You are welcome to bring someone with you if you need help with translating.
